Thanks – Glad you liked it 🙂 The use of CAD is prolific in todays
manufacturing environment, to have a background or knowledge of the tools
or subject mean’s you can’t go wrong if you inspire to be an engineer for
today and tomorrow….
Great video to introduce anyone into the world or CAD/CAM/CAE. The new
generation will excel in the new digital world. However, don’t forget to
know how to use a wrench, pliers, screwdriver, change a car tire/oil/etc,
woodworking, putting together a model car or plane, Ikea furniture, etc.
Today a lot of new engineers don’t have the practical know-how. I speak
from experience, believe me.
Gary – indeed wise words. It is very true that many design engineers do not
have the visualisation skills in regard to manufacture. I have seen many
products that simply cannot be made yet the design have hit the shopfloor
so to speak.
CyclingAZ – It is actually very frightening how much of the things we use
today are crafted in such systems. A lot of people think it is just
aerospace, automotive and the likes that use such environments. But I can
with a high degree of confidence say; from the shoes on your feet to the
chair you sit on, the keyboard that you use to the screen that you view –
all has started life in the virtual digital design world.
great video, the amazing capabilities of CAD really opened my eyes. I think
I learned more in the 4min video that I would have in an hour
lecture–thanks
mrcman25 – Thank you, glad it has given you something to think about ;). I
actually lecture in this subject, it is in fact one of my primary roles
with a higher education college / uni. It took an age to do, but I can see
it has also been worth it.
Hi CQEflash: I’m doing an educational video about Career Technology
Education. Wondered if you’d consider letting me use a clip from your
Computer Aided Design video to illustrate how CAD can be used in auto
technology. We filmed at a high school that did have a CAD program, but
they were working on architect project and not automotive, which is the
subject of our video. Please advise. Thank you!
Wow! Really inspiring video!

Nice! I wanna be a mechanical engineer !
awesome
SWEEEEEET background muzik, very suiting !
Great video! Thank you. I plan to use to introduce my fourth and fifth
grade students to digital design.
You’re more than welcome, it was made for exactly the same reason 😉

so its basically designing on a computer, i feel like an idiot >.<
The best videp i’ve seen, that explains CAD/CAD. Well done!
people dont realize but this is what literally makes all man made things
around us.

Juandprodriguez – Thanks glad you liked it 😉
u ma man r a genius
Milosway – Not sure about the genius bit but thanks. I have been at this a
long time, probably more years than I care to mention. 😉
is the autocad is good oppurtiny for a successfull career
